Ultimately, the time frame it takes to become a Christian counselor depends on what kind of an educational background you have, the amount of time you can dedicate to the program, and what kind of a counselor you are seeking to become.

For example, if you are hoping to offer lay counseling at your church or as a part of your ministry, you could complete some Christian counseling courses online without having to complete an entire degree.
