There is a well known saying that states; “You get what you pay for.” The general understanding of that adage is this: if you pay less for an item or service than someone else is changing, you are getting a lessor item, or a substandard product. While that rule may generally apply, it certainly is not true of Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary. I completed a Masters of Divinity in 1991. After 36 years of pastoral ministry I decided to pursue a Master’s in Christian Counseling Ministry. Over the years pastoral counseling has always been a part of my ministry. At this point in my life a second phase begins. I am retired from full time parish ministry. Over the years pastoral counseling has always had a part in my ministry. Having moved away from primarily being involved in parish pastoral ministry I now have more time to devote Christian counseling. The coursework, the tuition, the timing, the teaching, and the interactive exchange with the other students makes for an exceptional learning experience. Each class that I took had a combination of senior pastors like myself, experienced Christian counselors, younger students who were just starting out and international students from around the world. Valuable insights were gained from these exchanges. The professors were Christ centered, knowledgeable and responsive to the needs of the students. Each professor was well able to present the information in a format that was understandable, enlightening and challenging. I am thankful for the Christ centered, educational ministry of Trinity.
