Christian Counseling Courses Online

Trinity offers Christian counseling courses online in two major program areas: the Christian counseling program and the Biblical counseling program. The Christian counseling program is suitable for the learner who wishes to provide counseling in more general situations. This program is sequential and more regimented and is perfect for someone who wishes to offer counsel through a Christian worldview.

Biblical Counseling Degree Online

The Biblical counseling program, on the other hand, offers more flexibility and options. There are more varied areas of study to focus on, such as gerontology or troubled youth. This program is designed to prepare students to offer counseling in specific areas, so as to better prepare them for a specific counseling ministry. The Biblical counseling program courses prepare students to offer counseling with the Bible as their main resource and model for Christian living and well-being. Students in the Biblical counseling program are required to complete a practicum, or a supervised counseling experience, within their area of study.

Counseling Certification

Some U.S. states require counselors to be certified with the state. So, it’s important to check with your state for certification requirements.
