The following minimum computer specifications are recommended for access to the Trinity Online Learning Center:

¹ Trinity’s technical support staff strongly recommends a broadband (cable modem or DSL) Internet connection. While not required, subscribing to a broadband connection may be the most important investment students can make to improve their online learning experience.

* Trinity recommends that new students use or purchase a computer with the recommended standards listed above at the beginning of their studies.

All written assignments submitted electronically are to be submitted in Microsoft Word compatible format. If you cannot afford or wish to use Microsoft Office (contains Microsoft Word), you may use, a free open-source office software suite (including a word processor: Writer) that can save files in Microsoft Word format.

If you are unfamiliar with Microsoft Word, there are excellent tutorials on the web to help you learn how to use Microsoft Word. There are many tutorials on the web for as well.

You will also need Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader for viewing Study Guides, and the Adobe Flash plug-in / add-on for listening to audio lectures using the Trinity Online Learning Center’s built-in MP3 player. Audio lectures, which are in MP3 format, can be downloaded to your computer and listened to using any MP3 player software you wish (such as Windows Media Player, VLC Media Player, etc.), or downloaded to an MP3 player. Please note that all academic audio lectures are the property of Trinity College of the Bible and Trinity Theological Seminary and are not authorized for duplication or distribution without prior written consent.
